St Martin’s is looking for a new Children and Families worker to join their energetic team.
Working closely within a core leadership team this dynamic role helps to enable our group of volunteers to reach out to the local community and develop our church based groups.
St Martin’s has built up good links with two local primary schools where as part of a team you would deliver lessons and assemblies (neither are church schools), we have a thriving Stay and Play and a regular Thursday after school club for 7-11’s. The role would also engage and help develop the weekly Sunday children’s group which are part of the regular service – excluding our 1st Sunday of the month celebration.
We are looking for someone with knowledge and creativity who can foster connections with mums and children who regularly use our popular community coffee shop. We encourage and enable training and forums with the charity Thrive and work together in the wider team to ensure that Children and Families work is profiled in all areas of church life.

THE DETAILS:
Status: Employed part-time
Hours during term: 25 hours p/w for 43 weeks of the year
Flexible hours but will be time during, Mon am, Wed am, Thurs pm, Sun am
Financial Arrangements: pro rata £13,437 (£21,500 full-time)
Holidays: during School Holidays (apartfrom a week used over a year for holiday time activities)
Church to cover all work related expenses.
Length of contract: 2 years
